2026 AGM UPDATE PANUI

I would like to provide you with an update ahead of our AGM on 18 July 2026. Please find attached the following documents:
Kit Jefferies will provide an update on the proposed Council mergers involving Ōtorohonga and Waitomo District Councils. We have also included a General Business session to provide an opportunity for whānau to raise any matters they wish to discuss.
The Annual Report includes the following:
• Chair’s Report
• Resource Management Report
• Treaty Claims Report
• Finance Report
Please note the agenda item times are only indicative so matters may be shorter or longer than anticipated.
2025 AGM Minutes
As many of you will be aware, our Secretary, Kurutia Seymour, sadly passed away. As a result, we have been unable to locate the records of the 2025 AGM Minutes, despite our efforts to do so.
To ensure we maintain as complete a record as possible, I intend to work through the 2025 AGM Agenda with those present at this year’s meeting and, together, attempt to reconstruct the key decisions made and identify those who attended. I would greatly appreciate your assistance with this process.
This situation was entirely beyond our control, and we will do our best to accurately document the information available to us.
Reminder
Just a reminder that if Whānau wish to stay at Waipapa Marae this will be open from Friday from 5:00pm onwards. Waipapa Marae Trust are also holding their AGM on 19 July 2026. A great opportunity to bring the whānau and stay the weekend.
