After some discussion with members, many of the iwi would prefer a meeting that occurs in person. After considering the current advice from the Ministry of Health and the information from the Waikato DHB regarding infection rates in the Waikato, the Executive have agreed that the Annual General Meeting will occur in person.
The Annual General Meeting for Te Runanganui o Ngati Hikairo will be held on Saturday the 16 July 2022. The AGM has been pushed out a further month to allow for a venue to be organised and so that other arrangements (such as audio-visual equipment and catering) can be made.
Details regarding the meeting place will be published as soon as a venue has been secured.
Meeting arrangements in a time of COVID
To help keep our whanau be safe, particularly our elderly, our young and those of our loved ones who are immune compromised we will be following the advice provided by the Ministry of Health for large meetings.
Please only attend the meeting if you are double vaccinated, preferably with a booster. We are relying on our whanau to only attend if they are double vaccinated – vaccinations protect not only the individual but others around them.
If your sick, please stay at home and look after yourself. Fortunately, you will be able to access the meeting via the zoom link which will still be in operation.
There will be a person taking temperatures at the door. Please be helpful and if you are showing a temperature, please go home and take care of yourself. You can still take part in the hui using the zoom link.
The link for the Zoom meeting is as follows

To help our members be informed and up to date before the meeting all the documents required for the meeting are available on the website.
I appreciate that changes so close to the meeting can be challenging, but the Executive wish to make sure that as many members as possible can attend, in whatever format they are most comfortable with.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the 16 July 2022, in person and online.
