Change of date for Te Rūnanganui o Ngāti Hikairo Annual General Meeting (AGM) to 30 September 2023
Due to advice from the Waipapa Marae Trustees that the Marae will be closed to 31 August 2023 because of engineering advice, the date for the AGM for Te Rūnanganui o Ngāti Hikairo will be moved to:
30 September 2023 – 10 am – to 4 pm at Waipapa Marae
The Rūnanganui considered whether to move the AGM to an alternate venue but decided that it remained appropriate for the hui to return to Waipapa Marae.
As a result of moving the date of the AGM, the following changes are necessary:
- the financial accounts and final reports for the chair and the claims manager will be published on 8 September 2023
- the proxy forms and nomination forms for officers and executive members are now due to the secretary on Friday 22 September 2023
The Marae has been booked from the 29 September so that whānau travelling can stay the night before if they wish.
While the Rūnanganui is disappointed with having to delay the AGM a second time, we remain committed to returning to Waipapa with whānau. This most recent delay is because of the severe weather events that have plagued the entire country over the last several months. We continue to support the Marae Trustees and the Marae Committee as they work towards bringing Waipapa Marae back to full operations.
